Contracting

Practical Ecology offers specialist contracting (usually field-work based) services in native vegetation.

• Planting Projects:
  • Project design
  • Plant lists
  • Supply & installation of plant stock
  • Tree guards and weed-control matting 

• Weed Control:  We are able to offer sensitive weed control within sites of indigenous vegetation and elsewhere with specialist knowledge on what plants to target, and what particular techniques are required for any given invasive species, including:
  • Hand weeding
  • Spot spraying
  • Stem-injection
  • Brush-cutting & chain sawing
  • Vehicle-mounted rigs

• Specialist Projects:  Our team is very adaptable and able to respond to unusual requests, especially where a knowledge of indigenous vegetation is required, for example:
  • Fencing around biologically significant sites, such as for construction or revegetation purposes
  • Identification of species with GPS mapping
