As experts in the field of ecological and bushfire consulting, ecological restoration and land management, Practical Ecology offers a range of education and training programs that aim to service the needs of private land owners, developers, public land managers and community groups.
We can develop and organise one day or short courses based on a variety of topics. These include, but are not limited to:
-
identification of indigenous and exotic flora;
-
Ecological Vegetation Class identification;
-
ecological fire management
-
land management planning (for private and public land managers);
-
preparation of contract specification for restoration projects;
-
bushfire assessment, planning and management; and
-
native vegetation and bushfire related regulations and their integration.
We also have the capacity to supervise the completion of on-ground works undertaken by local Friends groups or other volunteers. We can supply the equipment and plants needed or supervise weed control works.
